More exciting than it sounds. Really.
Started out with doing the essentials. Like having porridge with my parents. Then coming home to a leaky flooded car.

Disgusting. I know. We can’t figure out where the leak sprung from, but most likely it’s the roof that’s the problem. Sadly. Poor thing… =( Anyway, we had to patch up the flat tire today and the MX 5 doesn’t come with a spare. Instead, they supply a really neat looking motorized pump and some patch solution. My dad’s suggestion was to put some air in, just enough to roll down the hill to the tire shop.

But after the maximum 10 minutes we were supposed to let it run, nothing was happening. Poking at it didn’t do much either (as demonstrated by my dad here).

Still flat like a roadkill pomfret. So we headed down to the tire shop where my car was fitted with a whole new set of Yokohama low profile tires.

New tire!

The cool bench they had there held up by stacked rims. The bench itself was covered in oodles of tire stickers. Awesome. The railings there as well. Really nice place to take photos.

My old Michelin low-profile, performance tire, compared to the big regular cushy ones. Performance tires are alot thinner to accommodate larger rims, lowering the car as well. Looks all in all a whole lot cooler.

Driving home with a flat yesterday was havoc on my wheel. The inside of the tire was ground to dust by the rim scraping the crap out of it.

So poor thing!

Ah well… She’s all better now! =) And drying out… Need to find that leak…
The early bit of the afternoon went to studying for forensics. Making good headway with it actually. This semester is a whole lot lighter compared to previous semesters, making it seem… Strange. But anyway, back to studying after this. =\ So next week can go to ADM subjects.
I followed my parents to Chan Brothers to book our cruise trip! =D We’re going on a cruise on the 26th. Awesomeness. It’s been so long since I went on a cruise and it’ll be my dad’s first time. And my whole family will be there. Been a while since we all went on a trip together. We’ll be taking the SuperStar Virgo, the same one the Gong family took 4 years ago. Ahh… It’s been so long.
Then we went to Audi cause my dad wanted to show me the new Audi A3 hatchback. I didn’t really like it though. Seemed like a strange mutant midget station wagon. Sportier, yes, but still looked like it could fit half a dozen children in there while going to soccer practice. I’m not exactly ready for the soccer mom getup.
But something caught my eye.
I’ve been drooling over the Audi TT since it first came out in 1998. And the second generation of it looks stunning.

It’s constructed from aluminum in the front and steel in the back to improve overall stability and handling. The one that has my eye is the 2.0l, 200HP that runs on Audi’s version of direction fuel injection – FSI (Fuel Stratified Injection derived from LeMans racecars to improve fuel efficiency and increase output). It comes built in with the new Audi Magnetic Ride that automatically adjusts the vehicle’s suspensions to suit the road conditions.
Not to mention it can take rims up to 19″. Sick!

The car has some really awesome features as well, such as complete xenon headlights that adjust to better light the curve in front of the vehicle. Also, the little pointy thing on the roof is a bluetooth receiver that allows up to 8 different handphone users in the car to link up directly to the car’s speaker-microphone system. Basically, it eradicates the need for handsfree sets completely. Awesome? That’s not all.

The little spoiler at the back comes up automatically when the car hits a certain speed. The car is fitted with turbo which kicks in at a certain speed, giving the car a little OOMPH when it hits that marked speed.
As much as this is, and has always been, one of my dream cars, it would mean the selling of my little Miata which I am really really really reluctant to do. Despite the leaking, the loose wheels, punctured tires, stupid trunk design… I love my little mazda!
=\
Earn money then say bah.
