So I just went into my student link to sign up for a club email address. We recently got permission to have our own email address to send out student club material to the students rather than the arduous process of
going through the administration to send out our notices.

Well, they told us to go to CITS to do it, but apparently the club president had to apply for it on student link, get SAO approval, pay for it at office of finance, then go to CITS with the receipt before it would be activated.

Why do we need to pay for these email addresses anyway?! We’re clubs of NTU dammit! That $13.65 could go to better things! (like… erm… buying kitkats for 30 students)
Anyway, enough ranting. I’m quite happy with the way the club is going. =) Just hit me that this time next year I would have graduated already. REALLY TIME TO FIND A SUCCESSOR RIGHT NOW. =\
I have someone in mind. But not sure if she’s up to the task. She shows a lot of promise and I feel, really really, that she has the passion for ADM to take the club further than the first 3 committees.
It’s been a rocky one year. And the biggest bump is upon us. But aside from all that, I feel good about what we’ve done for the school… years from now, we’ll come back and our contributions to the school would still be around, students would still be using what we have started.
It’s a good feeling. Really.
