Crash And Burn

Posted by Ying Huang on December 22, 2008

When you feel all alone
And the world has turned its back on you
Give me a moment please to tame your wild wild heart
I know you feel like the walls are closing in on you
It’s hard to find relief and people can be so cold
When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you can’t take anymore

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I’ll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You’re not alone

When you feel all alone
And a loyal friend is hard to find
You’re caught in a one way street
With the monsters in your head
When hopes and dreams are far away and
You feel like you can’t face the day

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I’ll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You’re not alone

‘Cause there has always been heartache and pain
And when it’s over you’ll breathe again
You’ll breath again

When you feel all alone
And the world has turned its back on you
Give me a moment please
To tame your wild wild heart

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I’ll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You’re not alone

We The Kings

Posted by Ying Huang on December 20, 2008

Check yes Juliet
Are you with me?
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won’t go until you come outside.

Check yes Juliet
Kill the limbo
I’ll keep tossing rocks at your window
There’s no turning back for us tonight.

Lace up your shoes
Eh Oh Eh Ohhh
Here’s how we do:

Run, baby, run
Don’t ever look back.
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance.
Don’t sell your heart.
Don’t say we’re not meant to be.
Run, baby, run.
Forever we’ll be
You and me.

Check yes Juliet
I’ll be waiting
Wishing, wanting
Yours for the taking.
Just sneak out
And don’t tell a soul goodbye.
Check yes Juliet
Here’s the countdown
3… 2… 1… now fall in my arms
Now they can change the locks
Don’t let them change your mind

Lace up your shoes
Eh Oh Eh Ohhh
Here’s how we do

Run, baby, run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart
Don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we’ll be
You and me

We’re flying through the night
We’re flying through the night
Way up high,
The view from here is getting better with
You by my side

Run baby run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart
Don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we’ll be…

Run baby run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart
If you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart
Don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever we’ll be
You and me
You and me
You and me

The disappointment of id.

Posted by Ying Huang on December 19, 2008

If there was a word 3 X 10,000,000 times stronger than “disappointed”, it would probably be an accurate description of the gut-wrenching, sick-inducing knot that formed in the pit of my stomach and doesn’t seem to be giving any signs of letting up.

2009 then I suppose.

I just… I wish… I want…

I just want to be selfish. And I will never be allowed to.

You’ve Experienced 64% of Life

You have all of the life experience that most adults will ever get.
And unless you’re already in your 40s, you’re probably wise beyond your years.
You’ve put yourself out there, you’ve done a lot, and you’ve learned a lot.
You may not have experienced all life has to offer, but you’ve experienced enough!

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You’d like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future… one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You’ll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

My French Glory

Posted by Ying Huang on November 13, 2008

So yesterday was my French level one final paper. Taking French tests always test my resolve not to burst out laughing at myself in the middle of the exam. The explosive mix of limited vocabulary and dubious questions result in answers with much left to be desired. Not to mention making me sound like a deranged stalker with ADD…

Par Exemple (imagine all questions and answers are in French)

Question: Would you like to go to Bruxxels? Why? Is there any other francophone ville you would like to visit? Explain in a minimum of 5 sentences.

Answer: Yes. There are museums in Bruxxels. I like museums. I would like to visit Montreal in Canada. I like Canada. Montreal is a beautiful city. There are many comedians. It is beautiful in winter. I also like Switzerland.

Question: Name one famous francophone person you know. Present them in a minimum of 10 sentences.

Answer: I know Carla Bruni. She is the wife of Nicholas Sarkozy. Nicholas Sarkozy is the president of France. Carla Bruni is a good singer. She is also a beautiful model.  She lives in France. I saw Carla Bruni once on Champs Elysée during Bastille Day. I would like to meet Carla Bruni. I have never heard her songs. I would also like to meet Nicholas Sarkozy.

Question: Describe this object in 5 sentences. (object A is a picture of a book by Victor Hugo titled Notre Dame de Paris and has a small star on the front along with some publishing labels. Object B is a picture of the Louvre)

Answer: A- This is a book by Victor Hugo. Victor Hugo is a French writer. The book’s name is Notre Dame de Paris. Notre Dame is a famous cathedrale in Paris……… There is a star on the book.

Answer: B- This is the musée du Louvre. It is a famous museum in Paris. Inside, there are many paintings from ancient and modern times. La Jaconde is a famous painting in the Louvre……. I prefer Centre de George Pompidou.

=.= So there you have it. Me sounding like a bimbo with attention deficit disorder. My only saving grace is that it is over.
